Annabelle De La Mora is a partner in Pfeifer & De La Mora, LLP., and has almost 25 years of complex civil litigation experience. Annabelle practices primarily in the area of mortgage banking litigation, including lender liability defense, loan fraud recovery, loan repurchase and servicing disputes, loss mitigation, and loan modification and lien priority disputes. Additional areas of practice include title insurance and escrow litigation, creditor remedies, debt collection and loan workouts, creditor bankruptcy litigation, and other real estate and business litigation.
Annabelle was previously a Vice-President and Associate Counsel at Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and worked in its litigation department. She also has almost 20 years experience in working as outside litigation counsel for title insurance companies in California. In that capacity, she has handled a wide variety of title insurance issues and claims, including but not limited to lien validity and priority disputes, title challenges, coverage disputes, recoupment matters, claims investigations, and insurer bad faith lawsuits.
In addition to representing title insurance and escrow companies, Annabelle has represented a wide variety of financial institutions, including nationally known banks, mortgage bankers, and loan servicers.
Annabelle is a 1979 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Literature and was on the Dean's Honor List. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law and was admitted to practice in the State of California in 1985. She is also admitted to practice before the Central, Southern, and Northern California Districts of the United States District Court.
